How we use Scatter
Version 1.2. Published 11 October 2026. Goes with Your privacy in Scatter.
What Scatter is for
Scatter is for your school learning: signing in to your class apps, seeing your progress, and asking your teacher for help. It is free, and there are no ads.
Anyone in a class at [name of the school] can use it. There is no age limit.
Please do
- Use only your own codename and PIN.
- Keep your PIN secret. If someone else might know it, ask your teacher for a new one.
- Sign out when you finish on a shared laptop.
- Be kind and respectful in everything you do in Scatter.
- Tell your teacher if something looks wrong, or if you see a problem with Scatter.
Please do not
- Sign in as anyone else, or try to see anyone else's work.
- Write real names, addresses, phone numbers or other private details about yourself or anyone else.
- Try to break Scatter, get around its rules, or change how it works.
If these rules are broken, your teacher will talk with you, and the school's usual rules apply.
Your work belongs to you
What you make and write in Scatter and its apps is yours. Scatter does not own it and does not share or publish it. Your teacher sees it to help you learn.
When your account ends
Your account ends when you leave your last class, for example when you leave the school. Your teacher will tell you before it happens. Everything Scatter keeps about you is then deleted.
